I make pots for the kitchen and dining table—pots that I want to be comfortable to use, to enhance the appearance of food, and to be interesting to view or hold.
My work stems from the traditions of both European and Asian country pottery. Though my pots cannot compete either in cost or functionality with manufactured ceramics, I do hope that, in the 21st century, there is relevance—or even a need—to use a handmade object—making possible the direct connection between user and an individual maker. |
