“ For me, the greatest function is visual stimulation. Does a piece evoke good feelings and invite you to REALLY look at it- to pick it up, feel it’s weight, it’s surface, it’s balance, it’s fullness, it’s LIFE. It doesn’t matter if it’s a decorative piece or a functional piece, both should satisfy their own needs visually and physically.
My work is about a Contemporary interpretation of classical notions of material, process, and form that hopefully presents itself in a very personal way. These pots are 50 years of research and development and each pot is a result of all the pots that came before it.”
